PS2: Yakuza Preview

Sega has some serious Japanese mob action coming your way. The game Ryu ga Gotoku took Japan by storm in 2005. It is the story of a gangster, fresh out of prison, as he reenters the criminal underworld of Tokyo. The game, not unlike a Japanese Grand Theft Auto, became sort of a cultural phenomenon, spurring even a live action film. Those "in the know" over here in the States were dying to get their hands on a copy of the game, and those who could understand Japanese dropped a pretty penny on imported copies of it. Many months ago, SEGA announced plans to bring Ryu ga Gotoku to the rest of the world, and it's now poised to be one of the last big titles for the aging PS2.
