Despite several nominations, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 did not win a single award at TGA 2023.
The PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 could be announced soon, given Sony's recent actions.
I have yet to get around to playing it on PS5 was fan of the first but I might just weait for the PC version.

I’ve been playing since the Sega Master System. I love Spiderman 2. There’s too much going for it to be a simple expansion pack. I felt Miles Morales could fall into the expansion pack range.
If you didn’t like it, it’s fine. That’s what’s great about opinions, there are no wrong ones, just different ones.
You guys have to understand, they don’t have anything even close to it on his preferred system. There is a whole psychology behind his comment.

It sounds like you’re hard to please vs gamers being easy to please. You mentioned great games. Games whose sequels had very similar gameplay with each other with very minimal changes or upgrades.

On topic: In my region the base game is $80. Still not low enough for me to dive in. Not that Im in a rush. Havent even finished the 1st one’s dlc yet.
The map still has asset's buildings the the first game its like madden yeah same stadium but can you change that madden 14 logo?
Not to mention they never added shield basses basically unique interiors you can explore off missions or add in jersey.

Despite multiple, very convincing leaks about a DLC, the only thing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is getting is more suits. Where's the DLC, Sony?
The first game came out in September, by October it had its first dlc release and by December "The City That Never Sleeps" had concluded. If you're wondering why there hasn't been any DLC for Spiderman 2 it's cause they didn't work on it alongside it's main development. It's been a pretty normal practice for devs to work on DLC that way which is why they have extra content out so quickly. Most likely we'll be getting Venom stand alone next year and Wolverine the year after that.

Also I don’t know how they are making twisted metal season 2, but cancelled the game? Surely the show is meant to drive popularity and visibility of the game where the real profits are made. So that doesn’t add up to me. Maybe it just changed developer, fingers crossed I suppose

Ridiculous. It was games like Balder's Gate and Zelda's to lose being realistic about it. They garnered a huge amount of popularity this year. And games like Alan Wake returned and hit it out the park. But it doesn't take away from Spider-Man 2's reviews or record breaking sales from being a high quality game. It's a game that gives you more Spider-Man to enjoy. And voting is subjective. Games get snubbed. Just like Harry Potter did just recently.
Played it safe. What? You wanted Peter Porker in it? Ice Man and Fire Star? Every known Spider-Man in the Spider verse? Aunt May web slinging from the rooftops? They could add tons of characters from the comics that Peter Parker interacts with. Still doesn't mean they would win an award.
It wins by being a high quality game for Insomniac being a consistent developer who delivers them.
There were just better games that deserved the awards more than Spiderman, hopefully Sony takes note and ups their game.
Here’s the thing, and I’ll get disagreed to hell and back for this but…despite buying and enjoying the game, despite liking the improvements the game made and the quality of life updates which really built on the foundation the first game built, the story let the second game down, it was overstuffed.
They had Kravens Hunt and a Symbiote arc in one game along with trying to juggle Peter and Miles.
This game featured Harry, Peter’s best friend and was a key character in the Symbiote story but it felt like we didn’t get much development with him because the game was giving us two Spidermen. Rather than seeing their relationship develop they switched to Miles which then gave us Mile centric missions involving characters like Ganke, Hailey, his mother, Uncle Aaron etc. Miles should have just been kept for a Miles Morales sequel. I like Miles but they are pushing him hard, I mean they are acting like Peter is ready for retirement yet he’s still in his prime years.
The issue is I just felt future film and TV content influenced the games story decisions

Venom - Again his film is out next year
Miles push and Spiderbots - Spiderverse films being super popular
Silk tease - Live action Amazon series is coming out in 2925
