Sorry for the noob question but as a pc gamer can I play these games on pc? Or is there a separate GP membership I need for that? I current have gamepass ultimate

Seems odd as a sub you wouldn't know what you're subbing too, but yes with GP ultimate you can play them on PC, XB and cloud.

Yep, Ultimate comes with PC included. Though like "UpvotedOpinions" mentioned, you can also just get GamePass exclusively on PC for $9.99 a month.

My main complaint about it on PC though, is that it doesn't utilize the "Azure" download speeds. Which is really crappy. No idea why MS makes that exclusive to consoles...

I'm being serious I have both subs the highs of PS plus are actually quite high so when there's a bad month you feel it.

PS plus has gone from saints row to calisto protocol both games that people wanted but didn't want to pay for as we see low sales overall but a high amount of sustained play when the games come to these services. The sub price increase however has caused far more scrutiny of the service rightfully so seemingly the truely good games go to the lowest tier while the fodder goes uphill.

Xbox gamepass has had a decent back half of the year but they prefer more obscure indie games showing up on the platform asap vs a 12 month old AA title ofcourse first party are heavy hitters but you don't see that much.

In my view both services are simply just ok pros and cons and if you asked me what I get more value out of this year personally I've been playing nes games via NSO over my current gen systems....maybe something is wrong with me.

And that's only a few of the games given this year - each month has had 15-25 games added to tiers 2 and 3 (the ones comparable to GP).

Also, seeing as you're trying to bring the price increase into it - we now get the ability to stream every PS5 game that's in the sub on our PS5 consoles, as well as over 200 PS4/5 games which we have bought digitally (meaning we can stream them even if they're not in the subscription).

We've also seen more third-party timed deals, day-one PS Plus games, and quality partnerships with Sony. In short - the increased payments are being used to improve the quality of the games we get and the services we have. Why would anyone complain about that and wish we could pay less for a worse service?

I think it's not fair to compare both since PS+ users usually complain about the basic tier offering (the 3 monthly games).
I could also point out that some PPL (like myself) complain about how the Premium tier is a wasted opportunity and not delivering.
However, I have yet to see a steady flow of negative comments toward the monthly rotation of the Extra tier.

You have to compare. Or else you can't tell if Sony is giving you less than you deserve, especially if they hiked the price.

The list of games that were added to the so "high" moments in PS plus are very dirt low compared to Game pass. also, that is considered a reach, if you have to go back to 2022 games.
Star Wars, UFC 4, and Saints row were already available to gamepass. Grid Legends was also added to game pass

I think PS+ (extra tier) offering is different compared to Gamepass and why you can't really compare.

Ps+ is not a "play on day 1" subscription system and is way cheaper than Gamepass (it's combined by default Ps+).
The library is bigger and include more popular AAA games from Ubisoft, Capcom, Square, etc.

On the other hand Gamepass offer more discovery with lesser known AAA titles or Solid AA titles (like Texas Chainsaw) that ppl would probably not buy at full price (unless you're a fan).

The why I mentioned that ppl don't usually complain about Ps+ Extra offering since it's more about the complete library vs monthly games.
