Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Recently, it has been rated in Australia with an R 18+ rating, attributed to its high-impact violence.
I see finally we got hellblade 2 release imo
downvotes just for commenting about a release window?
Yeah seems excessive to disagree just because a game may be imminent next year
"downvotes just for commenting about a release window?" Hellblade II is an Xbox first party game which some fanboys on N4G bet their lives that it would not be released before 2026. They might be having a hard time dealing with reality now. Anyway, more fantastic news from Xbox! Hellblade II getting a R 18+ Rating is nothing but proof that Phil was true to his word and allowed unrestricted freedom to developers create what they want HYPE LEVELS INCREASED!!!!!
@obscure it doesn't mean that at all, I can't see a world where a Hellblade sequel would not be rated 18+
You see downvotes here for almost every comment..no matter if it mentions a fact or is a opinion. Both xbox fans as well as critics love to downvote no matter if it makes sense or not.
its finally releasing? any trailer this VGA?
@RaidenBlack "its finally releasing?" "Finally releasing"? Hellblade II has been FOUR years into development, dude. It´s a true current gen AAA game, which nowadays can take 5-7 years to be developed "any trailer this VGA?" Very likely once all Hellblade II trailers was first shown at TGA
Its not since four years in development. ..2019 is the year they revealed it via trailer. Its most likely in development since 1-2 more years.
Highly anticipated is a stretch. We haven't seen anything really. We've seen more from dragons dogma 2 in 3 months than hellblade 2 in years At least we got a release date for dragons dogma 2 but nothing yet for hellblade
"Highly anticipated sequel" ... the anticipation is based on the prequel (and the ambitious trailers as well) ... Somewhat similarly, we barely saw any of Wolverine but it's one of the most anticipated upcoming games and my top anticipated game.
The prequel wasn't incredible. So it's not highly anticipated. Starfield was highly anticipated. God of war was highly anticipated. Baldurs gate was not highly anticipated. Hopefully you see the difference. Something can't be anticipated in this context if barely anyone is anticipating it
There is gameplay without the UI, that's why people believe it's cg But for people that actually dab in Unreal we know it's not cg
Yeah, but we're also coming off of Microsoft studio completely failing to live up to the quality of their trailer with Forza Motorsport earlier this year. UE5 or not, I think some skepticism is understandable.
"There is gameplay without the UI, that's why people believe it's cg" Because there´s no UI during gameplay in the original Hellblade in the first place. The people thinking it was a CG trailer have no clue on what Hellblade is about.
"Highly anticipated is a stretch." Highly anticipated by Xbox gamers and Senua fans. "We haven't seen anything really. We've seen more from dragons dogma 2 in 3 months than hellblade 2 in years" Nonsensical comparison. The last Dragon Dogma games was released in 2012 while Hellblade was released in 2017. "Hopefully you see the difference. Something can't be anticipated in this context if barely anyone is anticipating it" You have no idea what you´re talking about and how beloved Senua is: https://youtu.be/FlJDrgpEsO...
Highly anticipated by Xbox gamers and Senua fans." Get your fanboyism outta here. So in other words you're trying to claim that a game can and only should be anticipated, regardless of quality, by the console developer and/or the existing fan base? What a bunch of baloney. Not to mention you claim Xbox gamers are anticipating it...can't wait to see those sales on Xbox then... Nonsensical comparison. The last Dragon Dogma games was released in 2012 while Hellblade was released in 2017." I'm sorry...what? How is a game more recently announced and with a release date not a fair comparison to a game announced year ago or longer with a release window? You compare the 2 and can clearly see that we have seen more from a more recent announcement than from an older one. This has nothing to do with the first game of either...lol You have no idea what you´re talking about and how beloved Senua is:" And now you provide me a link to a video...and no stats.
@Crows90 "Not to mention you claim Xbox gamers are anticipating it...can't wait to see those sales on Xbox then.." It´s not the Xbox gamers getting rip off by a greedy company and spoon fed sh!t games! We can play any first party game day one on Gamepass, to buy any of those games is an *option*, not a requirement. Xbox will make sure its first party developers will be fairly treated, paid and rewarded. That´s why we´ll be getting a beautiful true AAA current gen single game in Hellblade II day one on Gamepass while you´ll be paying for some GaaS games on your preferred platform. To each its own. "And now you provide me a link to a video...and no stats" That crowd reaction speaks volumes! Just because you don´t know sh!t about a game, doesn´t mean that most gamers are clueless like you. Here´s some data from 2021: https://www.vgchartz.com/ar...
And that changes it from being highly anticipated how? Are people highly anticipating Wolverine? We're people highly anticipating Factions? Are people highly anticipating GTA 6? I could continue but I think you see by now how ridiculous your attempt to shade was. What in bloody hell does Dragons Dogma have to do with this? A stupid thing to say lol. "The prequel wasn't incredible" To you, to me it was. "Hopefully you see the difference. Something can't be anticipated in this context if barely anyone is anticipating it" Now your are just talking outta your ass lol. How do you know how much people are anticipating it? 1 mill? 2 mill? 3 mill? 1/2 of GP subscribers? Such a silly, attempt at sounding like you made sense lol.
There's barely any talk of hellblade 2. That's the very thing used to measure anticipation. How is hellblade 2 "highly anticipated"? Instead of claiming I'm wrong how about pointing at actual facts proving me wrong. What are preorders like? What's the gameplay like that's got people so excited? What the gameplay video shown that's shows excitement and anticipation?
This can still be highly anticipated as we get closer to release. These things come in waves. you get info, hype / anticipation and talk goes up. then things calm as time goes on until the next big info drop. then hype / anticipation and talk increase again. There are ebbs and flows. As for not many talking, it gets brought up all the time in those stupid platform lists the fanboys like to blurt out as some form of ammo in the console wars. It is the same with lists that include wolverine and stellar blade and project something something 2, electric boogaloo. You prob just dont pay attention and I get that. Its like you asking me how Remenant 2 was not on my radar... i just didnt follow it. But i can still say it looks cool and i can give it a try now on GP.
Crows, "There's barely any talk of hellblade 2." That's what I'm talking about, you tell me to show proof, what do you want me to do go pull up some websites? That is silly, as this very news is everywhere on the internet and we are currently talking about the game along with the many many other users on here There is 100 different articles and discussions on this game, I would say I can prove more people talking about it than you can prove people not talking about it. A perfect example, they announce a rating and release year on this very article and we are all here talking about it right NOW lol...the same will happen with Wolverine and Metroid Prime 4 .that alone should prove my point rather than your skewed view of not being able to anticipate a game that doesn't have extensive gameplay. No game has constant, constant talk, until they show another trailer or gameplay, or announce a release date, this is standard knowledge man. A great example is when this game was the talk of the town when they debuted the trailers at TGA previous years. Same as any game, like Metroid prime 4 logo..it was on everyone's lips, but nobody is sitting talking about it now because there is no new info, does that make it not anticipated? Lol. As I said before, Wolverine, when it was shown everyone was talking and hype, but nothing has been shown since, so it's not front and center convo, does that make it not anticipated? And yes my entire post claimed, stated and pointed out that you were wrong lol. You seem to not be making any sense, but you keep going lol.
"There's barely any talk of hellblade 2. That's the very thing used to measure anticipation." Has it occurred to you that 1, the game has Barely gotten shown off just teases. 2 the ad campaigns promos by MS haven't even started yet. With your logic, again your logic Wolverine isn't anticipated because nobody's taking about it. Your little disputes and constant flawed logic are super easy to take down, I can do it in my sleep. When are you gonna learn?
2024 without any gameplay video? Starfield all over again?
They already showed us a glimpse of Gameplay at E3 a few years ago.
Ninja Theory is biologically incapable of creating character models as bad as Starfield's :-) Don't think the expectations are nearly as high with Hellblade though.
It's also worth noting that Starfield and Hellblade are 2 different games entirely.
Hey hey you! Back off! It's part of Xbox studios now so yeah! Hellblade 2 is obviously the MOST anticipated game in the last 3 years! /s
Starfield and Redfall are both different games as well, and both are also highly anticipated. But what happened, both became mediocre right? Is Part 1 of Hellblade having the same treatment as when it was multiplat? I didn't pay attention to it before, and the gameplay was not good either.
