Skate isn't about learning how to skate anymore. It took 1UP many an hour with a near-final build of Skate 2 to reach this epiphany, but reach it they did. Whereas the first Skate -- a pitch-perfect, out-of-nowhere sim that tackled and took down that "other" skateboarding giant (whose increasingly mundane reign lasted for eight years) -- was very much about its learning curve, Skate 2 imparts a fairly different experience if you've had any sort of time with the first game. More of a good thing? Maybe. Enough tips, tucks, and tweaks to make the wealth of new content worth wading through? Most definitely.
