RoboCop: Rogue City Hailed a Success by Nacon

RoboCop: Rogue City has nearly 500,000 sales in its first two weeks since launch, becoming the biggest success in Nacon's publishing history.

I know they didn't publish Terminator Resistance but if they are going to be the publisher for Teyon then Id love to see Teyon take a crack at Robocop vs Terminator.

Solid game all round, very surprised by all the other things added outside a straight FPS and it makes you feel like your playing as Robocop. Awesome

I wonder if they could do a Total Recall game, or The Running Man? I would love to see their take on them.

taurul247d ago

I'm really glad for them! Those are onest games. Not brilliant top tier but also not bad at all. They are really fun with no major bugs whatsoever.

SimpleSlave247d ago

Would love a Judge Dredd game in the same vein as this one. Smash that like button and subscribe if you want to see this happen.

EDIT: BREAKING NEWS!!!!
I just talked to Nacon and they assured me that if this Comment gets 1 Thousand likes and 500 Comments they'll be pursuing the IP in order to make it happen.

Let's go!

PrimeVinister243d ago

Brilliant. But just in case you are serious, have a like a like and this comment :-)

SimpleSlave243d ago

Ha! I wish. Although, I would seriously love a Judge Dredd game in the same style as this new RoboCop game, it's nothing but wishful thinking on my part. But who knows? Maybe if enough people actually ask them, they might go for it.

I mean, they did Rambo, Terminator and now RoboCop, so who knows, right?

But thank you for your support and interest. With your Like and Comment we're getting closer to our goal for sure...

...lol

Nacon Blames Pandemic Planning for Crowded Game Releases

From Xfire: "Is Nacon's Head of Publishing making a valid point about the industry being flooded with games, or is this just a way to justify poor performance?"

GameCritic191d ago

I think its not only that but for sure a key part of it

shinoff2183190d ago

Agreed. It definitely is part of it. There's just not much you can do about it. I'll check out the game cause it looked interesting to me and i grew up watching robocop. It's just not something I'm in a rush for, not willing to spend that much money on a fps game. 30 dollar mark is about right for me.

northpaws190d ago (Edited 190d ago )

And the problem is too many people spend money buying cosmetic stuff in free to play games instead of buying full release games.

cloganart190d ago (Edited 190d ago )

And it will only get worse I fear. While we do see all the big GaaS releases fall, the AA and Mobile GaaS that run F2P model and just rob people blind essentially. The AAA bubble is now bursting.

Hopefully this will mean medium sized releases will get bigger focus now. It's becoming impossible to meet the "Gamers want bigger worlds, bigger cinematics, bigger EVERYTHING" standards and not fall apart along the way to meet the expectations of both business needs and the customer.

I buy no cosmetics . My kids ask me for Minecraft stuff but i tell them I’ll buy them a new game or toy instead.

CobraKai190d ago

Robocop was released during a gaming period that is normally flooded with games. That October to December is when most heavy hitters release their games. I did pick Robo and loved it

jznrpg187d ago

Holiday can be a double edged sword for sure.

jznrpg187d ago (Edited 187d ago )

Pandemic does play a factor. Plus companies release games as soon as their finished. If they could hold out and time it better it would help but most companies don’t have that luxury.

I am going to buy this game soon. I have been busy and always have a backlog from years past so I don’t buy as many games day 1 as I used to but I do want to play this and will order it soon.
