ComicBook writes: "Some Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X are threatening to cancel their subscription service after what they deem to be the "worst month in the history of Game Pass. This is may sound like a hyperbolic take, but that would suggest it is uncommon, and it isn't."
Personally, I canceled after they raised the price in my region. I used it pretty much solely for streaming, which worked really well. But the new price was just too prohibitive for that use case.
Space Trucker, Age of Mythology, Expeditions, Riders Republic, Wargroove, Frostpunk 2 for September. Those were all great gets. You have big ones like CoD, Stalker 2, and Indiana Jones by the end of the year. And if you really aren't interested for a time, you don't have subscribe every month. I usually sub every few months when they have a bunch of new ones I can play, or when a big release hits. I'll sub when Stalker drops, because then I can also give CoD a shot, and Indiana Jones is right behind it.
Definitely helps that I'm usually just subbed to PC gamepass. Only grab ultimate when I'm traveling so I can use on the Xbox.
Just cancel it and comeback when it’s good a good month. That’s what I did for along time. Now I have a back log. Once I finish, I’ll cancel it again for months and then do it again.
Uncover the spending behind Xbox's Game Pass subscription. Discover how Microsoft invests a billion dollars annually in securing third-party games for the service.
Good.
Now that you´re releasing games and making big money from every gaming platform, you should double that amount and give us even more day one third party games!
I like how they twist cannibalising game sales into "invests".
No lifetime sales with MS, they'll F-up gaming the same as streaming services have done to the movie industry and it's workforce.
we know this, we have known this since last year.
