it should have been Tifa.

or have Tifa as a dlc character.

solideagle256d ago

she has loads of moves from Heihachi Mishima" so story wise it wouldn't make sense to have Tifa doing these :)

Obscure_Observer256d ago

Given some of her moves, she might be Heihachi Mishima´s granddaughter!

Love her style and character design! Another great addition!

Eonjay256d ago

Wouldn't that make her Jin's sister? Unless Heihachi has more kids we don't know about.

generic-user-name256d ago

She's Heihachi's daughter. Half sister to Kazuya and Lars, aunt to Jin.

Eonjay256d ago

Okay got it and Jun's sister in law.

H9256d ago

Her gameplay and threatening aura look great, interested to see what she is to heihachi, however the design is awfully average, and what's up with Tekken and Sports hoodies, everyone has these

Kurisu256d ago

Yes, her gameplay does look great indeed! Definitely looking forward to trying her out.

I had a great time with Phase 1 of the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test, but unfortunately phase 2 fell on my weekend to work and I only got about an hour in.

CrimsonWing69256d ago

Man, I expected more for her design seeing who created her. I wish this series wouldn’t be afraid to take risks with designs like Street Fighter does. I mean, cool jacket… I guess 🤷‍♂️

Heihachi's Return In Tekken 8 Doesn't Make Sense At All

Tekken's fierce old man, Heihachi Mishima, is back with a vengeance in Tekken 8. However, his return seems to be a forced move, which breaks the story beats established in Tekken 7.

When did Tekken ever make any sense? That's why we love it. Come on now. Mokujin? Roger? Kuma? Panda? Gon? Alex? Jack? Demon characters? Death, life, death and life again? Azazel?

Heihachi coming back ain't no thang but a chicken wang. Was probably hanging out at the ghost bar with Bison having drinks. Seems they must have run up a tab and need to make some tournament money to pay it off. Because they're both coming back to their respective games.

1Victor13h ago

Tekken is not tekken without a Mishima or 3 in it 🤷🏿

jznrpg1d 19h ago

It makes sense because people like to use the character.

Michiel198912h ago

exactly, fighting games for me don't require a story or explanation why a certain character is in the game. If they manage to make a cool story, it's just a bonuns but there's no way that should prevent fan favs from rejoining

boing116h ago

Heihachi is Tekken, so it makes all the sense in the world.

senorfartcushion13h ago

It is anogher example that proves that company have no balls to actually end people or stories

thejigisup13h ago

Fr, like if Nintendo killed off Link and you played the next legend of Zelda game as someone else. That would take balls and would definitely make the game better.

DarXyde9h ago

That would require breaking the cycle of reincarnation, though.

Not sure how they'd pull that off. Link, Zelda, and Demise are tied together by fate, across lifetimes.

Furesis10h ago

Bunch of tekken characters have died (from what we know) and even if they are dead in the lore u can still bring them as playable characters.

ReBurn12h ago

It's Tekken. The story never made sense. What we can rely on is that every character that gets thrown off a cliff or into a volcano never actually dies.
