Switch Online had more users than the combined Xbox Series S and X user base. This comparison is relevant because it highlights the incredible challenge Microsoft has with making Game Pass profitable when so much content is included in the very affordable subscription fee. It could work if becomes the dominant service like Netflix, but it isn’t there yet.

Switch online is an affordable service and gives more value compared to PS+ basic.
I like playing Splatoon 3 once in a while online.
