I'm honestly amazed that people play it. That's what you call inertia. I can't think of another logical reason to play WoW in 2023 besides "all my friends play it" (and that's honestly sad).

No. There are no MMOs like WoW. Almost all of the MMOs available now are better. Enormously better, actually.
Final Fantasy XIV absolutely obliterates WoW from every point of view.
People don't move on simply because their friends don't move on and due to the sunk cost fallacy, because they don't want to lose their investment in their meaningless progression.
