1- 360
2- OG

What? Did they make something else?

Xbox. Last
360. Last
Xbox One. Last
Xsx. Last

They all rank last place in each generation. That was easy!

Actually I think they beat the GameCube by a few million units.

Original Xbox sold 24 million whereas Gamecube sold approximately 22 million which makes your statement wrong.

Thus in its first foray in console market, MS outsold an established video game company.

They also beat Wii U sales but there is not much to brag in this istance.

Even the 3rd position of Xbox 360 came with 85 million units sold (an increase of 61 million in comparison to previous generation).

Therefore while they did place third, it was not by any metric a failure for Xbox.

After Xbox One, MS went downhill and they deserve the last place.

absolutely correct, but the web always misconstrues the truth and twists it into a prevailing narrative that just continues regardless. I find it fascinating. Xbox dead last every gen. Ken Kutaragi saying get a second job for a PS3. Sony has all 1st party devs making GaaS PS5 games. Deduct 1-2 points to Nintendo games because they're universally overrated by media outlets. Like an old X-files episode, the truth is out there.

By the way, off topic, but why can't we get a real Lovecraft game made, especially during this horror renaissance? Not this crap they recently passed off with his likeness. Open world game with Great Old Ones as main story arc, sprinkled in with side stories like Dagon, Arthur Jerym, Colour out of Space, etc...mind-boggling. Sad when that old Xbox/PC game from mid 2000's is still the best.

To me

XB360 for being a space heater and disc carver.
XB Series S for having games nerfed on it to run.
Those are the two I hate.
OG Xbox I actually like even though I never bought one new
XB1 I liked only thing missing is games to draw me in.
Series X I like but again also lacks games that draw me in.

For me.
1. X360 (thanks to JRPGS like Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon)
2. Xbox (thanks to Halo, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic, Fable, Jade Empire and Project Gotham Racing)
3. Xbox One (nothing really impressed me, but better than...)
4. Series X/S (only good about it so far is Starfield)

Gamingsince1981569d ago

The only good thing is starfield so far ?? Jeez xbox is in a worse spot than I thought if starfield is a pro rather than a con....

MrNinosan568d ago

Starfield do have many cons, but still it's a game I wanted to play, and the reason I bought my Series X 2020.
If you can look aside from loading screens, bugs, empty planets but instead focus on what's good, it's a decent game.

However, there are 6 or 7 games this year I'd rank ahead of it.

cthulhucultist568d ago

I would place original xbox first as it had great launch window games from Sega (Sega GT 2002, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Project Gotham series, Phantasy Star) as well as exclusives like Halo, Fable series, Jade Empire, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Conker, Crimson Skies, Otogi etc.

Xbox 360 follows closely though.

360 RROD keeps it from being able to be my number one, my buddy had three die on him! My 360 was amazing and never broke, still, that was the worst console debacle ever. Plus—OG Halo on first Xbox is still the best game they ever put out so…
1. Xbox
2. 360
3. Series X
4. One

Review - Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (Xbox One) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Ignoring one or two slightly dated titles, plus a truly terrible one, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 goes to show that no one is doing arcade gaming preservation as well as Capcom right now. Just the inclusion of Capcom vs. SNK 2 by itself, in such a pristine, rollback-supported stated, is enough of a reason for you to purchase it, but add in games like two Power Stones and the best version of the best Street Fighter, and what you have here is more than a lot of bang for your buck. What we have here is an infinitely enjoyable collection of fighting works of art."
