how well SF VI performs against SFV in comparison ?

solideagle120d ago

I think it will do good because it's not exclusive or on single platform anymore.

MrNinosan120d ago

Think again.
The only new platform is the one where next to none buy games.

Street Fighter V have sold 7+ million copies on PS4/PC.
A number which SFVI probably won't reach.

I think this is the fate of all fighting games going forward. Their core audience will buy the game at launch, however, the gamers who wish to casually play street fighter will jump on board when it is either lower in price or when the complete edition gets launched. They did this to themselves with all these dlc packs and season passes.

I agree, I grew up going to the arcades and playing Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. However; as most of us age we just dont have the time to be competitive in fighting games...so its fun to just buy complete editions and run through the story etc. Plus as you said everyone knows that fighting games are not released in a complete state.

What's with these bland characters? They suck. I wish they would have continued the third strike story characters.

Hope there's a physical disc release. Missed opportunity to promote PSVR2 if they aren't including the VR mode.

Nyxus22d ago (Edited 22d ago )

The extras are probably just on a download code, unfortunately.

Edit: looks like the physical version is for Europe only: https://www.ign.com/article...

Thought there would be at least one small new thing in this version

CrimsonWing6922d ago

Yea I was shocked, like at least some new costumes like most Gold releases have done in the past. It feels weird that now the deluxe edition incentives are included in the cheaper gold version.

I just want VR for the Pc version without mods :(

ocelot0722d ago

Did they ever bring VR to 7 and Village?

jeromeface22d ago

7 was vr1.. but village and 4 are on vr2

ocelot0722d ago

@jeromeface

I meant for pc. But I believe 7 was ported to psvr2 was it not?

Neonridr22d ago

@ocelot07 - 7 is still just PSVR, no PSVR2 version announced. You can play 7 and 8 on PC in VR with mods I believe.

ocelot0722d ago

@Neonridr

That's a shame about psvr2. I remember they released 7 on ps5 I assumed it also psvr2.

Might have to try this pc vr mod out.

Neonridr21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

@ocelot07 - would have been nice to have updated RE7 to give us full motion controls on PSVR2.

That's what you get with the PC mod for all the titles. This guy has done VR conversions for RE2, RE3, RE4, RE7 and RE8. His name is praydog. There's a github site with everything you need.

ocelot0721d ago

@Neonridr

Resident evil 2 VR mod you say!!!

Thank you will definitely check that out. It's one of my favourite games in the last 5 years.
