Saul Gascon confirmed in a recent livestream that Lords of the Fallen will receive no changes to major aspects like enemy density/placement.
Soulslikes are punishingly difficult but amongst the most compelling games. Power Up Gaming goes through the top ten Soulslikes you're likely not playing.
Demon's Souls isn't Soulslike. It's the original Souls game. WTF? And Elden Ring?
Another Crab's Treasure simply is not.
All the journos claiming things are "Soulslike" simply don't know what that word means.
Nioh 1+2 imo are the best souls clone. Love the melee combat and ki system, really hoping team ninja doesn't abandon the IP and continue with a new title, hell just give us your take on the western fantasy setting for a new nioh game.
A sequel to the excellent action RPG Lords of the Fallen is coming in 2026 to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be published by Epic Games on PC, which means it probably won't be coming to Steam.
Lords Of The Fallen, an action RPG souls-like has a lot of things going for it - one being the variety of builds possible - here is an agility dual-wield based build for the game
Git gud.
Actually the density of enemies spawning in the death world gives me a sense of dread and that's a good thing. I mean when I play souls like I'm never really afraid or feel anxiety because I know I can work on whittling down an area but now there's a world area that won't let up until I escape or die.
Jesus Christ!
As of today's patch on PC they are adjusting enemy density.
From patch notes -
"Today as a means of helping with enemy density, we're improving our 'leashing' system, further limiting how far enemies will pursue players from their spawn point. This helps prevent large crowds of enemies from relentlessly pursuing the player when rushing through a level.
We aim to have further refinements in Thursday’s patch, including reducing the number of enemies present in areas where players most struggle. These enemies will be removed in your initial playthrough, but will remain in NG+, in keeping with the more challenging experience players are seeking.
Additionally, we are going to tweak some crowd behaviours so enemies will not swarm players as often; multiple enemies will no longer land hits at the same time, while enemies will also be a little less aggressive when swarming the player in greater numbers."
Also changes to vestiges in NG+ as well.
except they actually are, lol.
