By now, you've probably finished all of the video games you received as gifts. You may even be looking for your new game fix.
If so, rest assured: 2009 is poised to be a terrific year for gamers. But it also could be a critical, perhaps even a make-or-break year for the PlayStation 3.
From the mid-1980s to the early part of the 2000s, light gun rail shooters were a staple in both arcade and home system gaming. Arguably, the genre started to really hit its stride in the mid-1990s. While games like Time Crisis, Virtual Cop, and House of the Dead, among others, dominated both the home system and arcade space, some one relegated to only home game systems. Today, we’ll be talking about a little-known cult game published by Sony called Project: Horned Owl. This game was developed by Alfa Systems, and all in all, this is a fun game.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.

Why because ps3 got Killzone 2,Uncharted 2,GOW3 coming out.Well i'm sorry bud but i hate to break the bad news NO. Xbox360 has better games coming out in 09.
eehm, i don't care where the PS3 stands.
360 is just better - it's simple as that.
- better online features
- better overall service
- better controller
- better multiplatform games
- better exclusives
- better price
- better community
- better upcoming exclusives
...
it's just better, better and better. (my opinion)
the PS3 has 3 good games: Motorstorm, MGS4 and Warhawk.
i'll rent one to play KZ2 and that's about it!
....it has some great titles. The 360 on the other hand has a few unannounced surprises i am sure. I really do not think that the PS3 will catch up in terms of console sales this year, but I think it may close the gap. Sony have everything they need to have an amazing year, but something will always go wrong, it always does, nothing ever goes to plan especially in the gaming industry. One things for sure if Killzone 2 lives up to the hype then Sony will be on the right track for a great year. Lets hope the likes of God of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5 make it in '09, otherwise that will be two major exclusives missing from '09.
k, I agree with those facts that the author pointed out..price of PS3..lack of exclusives n PS3's first year, and did mention how they bounced back n 08..make or break year for PS3?...PS-free is here ta stay, they aren't going anywhere..Sony is not Sega..period. As far as the commenters above speaking on 360 has a better lineup..I have both consoles, and honestly I have not, or know of any 360 lineup for 09 that so far compares to PS3's. I love both my systems, but my PS3's lineup has the majority of my attention.
The 360 sold 5,360,811 with no competition around. The 360 has outsold the PS3 2.4 million from it's launch until today. Most of that 2.4 million was the 1st year of PS3 life without many games. However, in 2008, despite the PS3's higher price tag, the PS3 managed to outsell the 360 8 months out of the year. Why? It had games. Great ones. So, looking at a "fair fight" perspective:
360 (21,667,767) vs. PS3 (19,198,097).
2009 will bring a PS3 price drop along with 18 excellent exclusives. However, I'll let people judge. This is the most high quality games ever. The PS3 is right around the corner from breaking even. I think that Killzone's release is a sign that Sony is ready to aggressively play this year out. I see, not one, but two price drops this year.
