I've had to clear the cache a couple times to get it to load. I dont know if its all the ads or people clamouring to get in and comment about SM2 but... yeah. It's pretty slow.

Yeah been bad for me for a week or two, often times out. On my phone the ever present ad at the top of the page also blocks me from clicking on my profile etc, just to add to the fun.

Its crazy that on the day the embargo was lifted and critics can talk about and release their reviews that so many
a 120 as of now) have them ready to go. While other publishers namely a Trillion Dollar Corporation released a game over a month ago and it as of now under 90 reviews and this Trillion Dollar Corporation selected each of these reviewers that got a review code and for some the code came with favors or $$$ for a positive review.....Crazy times.

We are 40+ days after Starfield´s release and that game is undeniable the most talked about game of the year (on N4G at least)! Let´s see for how many days or months Spider-Man 2 will make it to news after the release.

It is literally the same copy/paste job since Oblivion! Ham-fisted opening, check, irrelevant dialogue choices, check, close up headshots of NPCs with buggy eyes, check, generic enemies, check. This IP should've launched before Outer Worlds. Obsidian make better RPGs than Bethesda and don't squander 6 years to do it.

The only person I see that's talking about Starfield is you on here. BTW I don't see people talking about Baldur's Gate anymore and that game is way more superior than Starfield in every way and might win GOTY unlike Starfield. Spider-Man will be a goty contender and Starfield won't even be a contender because it's mediocre at best. Making it to news after the release don't make Starfield a better game for Example Baldur's Gate and Final Fantasy 16 is better than Starfield and those games wasn't on the news that much. Tbh I think Starfield is worse than Fallout 76 imo 🤔 Starfield has only been out for 5 weeks and it's barely being talked about.

It's sits at 91 because that's what Metacritic wants it at. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this Spiderman is great just like the last one, but there is something fishey going on at Metacritic. For years I've been noticing they're not including some reviews for certain games. If you go to their site and look at the reviews for Forza they didn't include some sites like GameSpot and some others that more credible. Forza sits at 85 with only 74 reviews while spiderman has about 120. I also noticed they only included 4 perfect scores for forza when we know for a fact that it had more than that. Then I go look at a review score of 97 for Spiderman on a site called NPR and they don't give scores. They even have a score for Spiderman for USA Today and we all know it's not even a gaming site. And to top it all off the last 3 reviews on meta for forza don't even have scores but yet they put them in the count of 74 reviews when it's not the right number. This is just weird.

The problem with IGN is almost all their reviews end up in the 7-10 range. They are afraid to score too low and piss people off and afraid to score too high and look like they are pandering. Gutless. Maybe IGN’s Spider-Man 2 review is spot on. Even a broken clock strikes true twice a day.

Tears of the Kingdom was almost exactly the same as the first game with a few new scattered things and features yet IGN never had an issue with it

That's a general agreement across the board. That's how you know a game is actually great. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy other mediocre games of course.

General concerns in reviews need to happen more often and at least with Sony that seems to be consistent. Too bad they didn't come out at any point to say they weren't really looking at insomniacs in works projects before purchase...unlike someone regarding arkane.

Well the difference is this is a sequel to a well established Ip. All you really gotta do is give us a new story and freshen up the combat and you get the similar reviews the first 1 got. Rather another game be new innovative ips with different concepts that some may not like while others will love. So SM2 will see more consistent 4/5, 4.5/5 while the other type of game will get wider range of 2/5 to 5/5.

Not true. They added more traversal options, added a seamless second player character transition. Juggling 2 Spiderman's , a bigger open world, more traversal, more scrope, etc...
