The developer of the fantasy RPG Lords of the Fallen has issued a statement saying the Xbox version of the game won't be up to parity with the other versions at launch, but a patch is in the works.
Soulslikes are punishingly difficult but amongst the most compelling games. Power Up Gaming goes through the top ten Soulslikes you're likely not playing.
Demon's Souls isn't Soulslike. It's the original Souls game. WTF? And Elden Ring?
Another Crab's Treasure simply is not.
All the journos claiming things are "Soulslike" simply don't know what that word means.
Nioh 1+2 imo are the best souls clone. Love the melee combat and ki system, really hoping team ninja doesn't abandon the IP and continue with a new title, hell just give us your take on the western fantasy setting for a new nioh game.
A sequel to the excellent action RPG Lords of the Fallen is coming in 2026 to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be published by Epic Games on PC, which means it probably won't be coming to Steam.
Lords Of The Fallen, an action RPG souls-like has a lot of things going for it - one being the variety of builds possible - here is an agility dual-wield based build for the game
The dev statement says an update is coming in the next few days to fix whatever the issue is. The headline and description make it seem like an update is far away.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the content creators who have worked with us to enable the rapid deployment of patches, updates, and performance improvements ahead of tomorrow's exciting launch of Lords of the Fallen.
As such, PC and PlayStation 5 players will be able to enjoy the game as intended. The Xbox version is currently being updated, bringing it to parity with the other platforms, and the patch will release over the coming days."
Im getting a feeling that the patch delay is related to the Series S. This is just my personal opinion but it’s a reasonable one considering the recent similar issues with Baldur’s Gate 3.
Another one....its the Series S. Jack can be done, it makes up 75% of the Series sales to date. Keep on trucking Phil and company.
