WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "Still, this is a grand step forward in the series, and I’m pleased to see Forever Entertainment continue bringing the Front Mission games to modern consoles. They’re expertly crafted for battles and sequencing, and captivate the SRPG fan who isn’t into overly anime presentations. The fighting is great, the characters are decent and the soundtrack has a delicious 90s vibe that has been updated but not overhauled. If you’re looking for a game with an easy 30-50 hour play ahead, then suit up: the Alordesh are ready for you."
Review - FRONT MISSION 2: Remake is a game worth checking out if you like the genre. For rarity alone, it has to be worth a try.
“Although the first game received a more substantial upgrade, FRONT MISSION 2: Remake is still a must-have SRPG for fans of the genre and at its core; it remains the superior of the 2 titles despite some minor missteps with the update.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
The game has some weird spelling errors in the game but nothing so erroneous that it I couldn't understand what was meant. The first one did as well. The opening scene when you boot it up still says Front Mission 1SL to this day. Anyway this is still another solid remake that I'm sure will get daily updates like the remake of FM 1ST before it.
I hope these are selling well enough. If we can just get to Front Mission 5 Hd Remaster I’d be set.
Originally Slated To Launch Next Month, Forever Entertainment Aims For A Q3 2023 Release For Front Mission 2: Remake.
That's good. The first remake was a little rough for some at launch but they patched it quickly. Might as well take their time the second time around to avoid that again.
