Have they said yet wether MGS3 will include the bonus features added in the Subsistence version?

Name Last Name66d ago

I think I read somewhere that they will be the base games only.

MrNinosan66d ago

It's confirmed to be Substance and Subsistence

The extra content that was present in the HD Collection is also present here, but the Skateboarding, Snake vs Monkey, Secret Theater, and Snake's Nightmare are all still omitted.

All they had to do was make it 4k60 and they would of sold twice as many copies. Do the extra work, and reap the rewards.

I don’t think it’s a deal breaker for the first game to be 30fps. The other 2 are 60fps. Plus with the low lighting effect in the cutscenes for the first game it looks better at 30fps.

I’m just glad to get to play these games again and to get the trophies for them all.

generic-user-name66d ago

Are they adding trophies for MGS1? That's a platinum I need to get.

Barlos66d ago

Never really been a fan of MGS but this collection does interest me for some reason

I can't believe fans can do 4K on a free emulator for these games and professional devs at Konami settle for 1080p resolution in 2023. Makes me think that they don't give a shit and just port it with the bare minimum work just to get the easy 60€.
If that is how you treat your biggest IP and expect your long time fans to shell out money for this lazy ass port you are mistaken. Especially for us that already own every game in the series.

CobraKai66d ago

Don’t bother googling. It’s Retroarch.

If it's not 120 at 8k, I'm not playing...

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Review | The Outerhaven

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 brings Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and 4 8-Bit era Metal Gear games to modern consoles, and does so in a no-frills manner, with lots of technical flaws that Konami should be ashamed of.

The Disaster Collection, Didn't buy this one and have no intention of buying whatever the follow up might be as they have pretty much salted the earth. It will never be a good complete collection now (for collectors). The Legacy Collection is about as good as it will ever get.

The sooner Konami realize the money isn't coming anymore the quicker they can sell their back catalog and stop IP hoarding.

It's embarrassing when fan modders do a better job (working for free!) than the actual multi-million dollar publishers.

This has been happening a lot in the industry. Companies are cutting corners, and hoping we don't notice or care. They want us to repeatedly buy the same games over again, and each time at slightly lower quality.

Terrible practices, not just from Konami, but all around.
