That´s because it´s not some of Peter Parker´s suit. It was designed and tailored by a villain and swore enemy who literally stole his life.

The only “controversy” was how, in Superior Spider-man, Doctor Octavious killed off Peter to save himself from cancer by taking over his body and even then that was extremely minuscule.

The only Spider-Man that was really controversial was “One More Day” where Peter and Mary get a divorce over a deal in order to defeat Mephisto. Superior Spider-Man doesn’t come close.

I´ve been a comic fan since my child days and I read most comics from Marvel and DC to Image, Dark Horse, Valiant, Avatar... etc, and I can´t barely remember something so f$%# up as what Otto did to Peter, in comparison to any other comic hero, (ok, maybe Purple Man with Jessica Jones).

So yeah, again, it´s controversial for ANY true long-time Spider-Man fan. Maybe it´s not to you because you´re not a Spider-Man fan in the first place.

If you’re an actual fan you’d know it’s not controversial in the slightest but you’re a fan since your childhood days, right? so you should know how it’s not controversial in the slightest. Also, you’d know not every superior Spider-Man has Otto killing Peter.

Although I know it would be feasible to do, but if they’re adding the superior suit I’d hope it came with a slightly separate move set and gadgets as in the comics Otto wanted to prove he was a better Spider-Man than Spider-Man himself.

I didn’t see it as controversial just a welcoming change to the character, only foolish people get mad at changes in comics as after a few chapters they revert back to normal.

If the keep the characters the same then the complaint is they’re boring and adds nothing new, but add something new and people immediately dislike without giving the change a chance.
