It says Basic, uninspired turn-based combat, well thanks finally a turned based rpg that doesn't have some dumb weird gimmick just classic turn based woo-hoo.

Towns, check
Talkable npcs, check

I'll be looking for this, I haven't played a game in this series

Utawarerumono Is a good series. I have this game but haven’t played it yet. Some people gave it good reviews some didn’t but I hear the story is good. There is an anime as well and I like the story myself.
