Almost certainly. 6 million unique players apparently. At least 1 million bought early access. With 25 million gamespass subscribers.... that's really not many people. Not when you consider steam consecutive players indicates that probably in the region of 2 million people bought the game overall.

I honestly thinks it was originally planned to be a PS exclusive because Bethesda didn’t want to deal with the parity on the Series S/X. I think that’s why deathloop and ghostwire was exclusive and Starfield was originally supposed to come out 2 yrs ago. When they got purchased they had no choice but to release on all Xbox platforms.

BGS had a long history with MS prior to purchase so I feel like Todd is pretty content where he is.

- Morrowind - exclusive to xbox
- Oblivion - exclusive to 360 (until the goty released many years later
- Fallout 3 - exclusive/timed exclusive dlc
- Skyrim - exclusive/timed exclusive dlc with ps3 version basically not supported post-launch
- Fallout 4 - only game that had parity on PS consoles

But.. Whether he's lying or not doesn't change the fact Starfield isn't coming to PS5.

If you have no interest, then get back to BG3 or something. And if you are interested, bite the bullet and play it on PC without ever touching Xbox or Game Pass. It's really getting very tiresome seeing endless articles and salty comments for two years now - it's time for people to move on!

Starfield is a new IP and some PS only fans already lost their minds over it been exclusive to Xbox.

All of those PS only fans outrage and completely meltdown over Starfield will be nothing sort of a comparison on what expect from them regarding TESVI been exclusive to Xbox, which is an well known, most popular and established Bethesda´s IP.

Starfield isn't all that though I've played for 2 hrs, but for me I can see it's not going to keep my interest long just like Redfall & Halo Infinite. As a first time XB owner( XBSX) for almost 2 years now I've only played & finished 3 games on the console & that was the Indies The Ascent, Nobody Saves The World & Wo Long.

Trust me, you can´t possibly know what Starfield is or isn´t by playing only 2 hours.

The game starts slow, but as you progress, the game will grow on you for reason I can´t tell you right now.

If you have better games to play, then fine. Otherwise, take your time with Starfield, it´s gonna be worth it.

I'll more than likely give Starfield several more hours of gameplay before making my decision to keep playing or not. In my experience most good games have me captivated/excited to play within the first half hour or hour, so far Starfield hasn't really done that for me yet. Though it hasn't "wowed" me from the beginning but from what I've played so far the game has me curious to see where the game is going to go & if it'll keep me interested. The side mission Grunt Work was interesting. I'm not a fan of any Bethesda RPGs. I tried ES4: Oblivion & I didn't like it at all & the same goes for Fallout 3 & 4. The only reason I'm even trying Starfield is because it's on GP including that it's a Sci-Fi game, a genre I like.

It is truly sad to see when AAA multiplatform developer turns exclusive. I'm really happy that Sony hasn't actually participated in this horrible aspect of the industry right now. The bungee thing was kind of weird but it doesn't look like they're making exclusives

These Microsoft moves are definitely going to harm the industry in the long run and we're only seeing the beginning of it right now. Not that it matters much because since it's Microsoft that's buying these companies they're probably mostly going to go under now.

Arkane is suddenly a s*** studio where they were one of the best.
Bethesda has released their first new IP and somehow ends up being worse than any of their other iterations except for maybe fallout 76. It feels like an incomplete game so I'm guessing they released it now before it was ready because of Game pass and Xboxes lack of exclusive games. This is not the heavy hitter Xbox was in need of or looking for.
