Shillin' It's got a 5.5 user on meta.

Sonic1881652d ago (Edited 652d ago )

5.1 on the PC version. You would think that the PC version would get a higher user score

says the person who's first RPG since 2010 was Starfield. There's been a lot of great RPGs released since 2010. This writer needs to game more or expand their horizons.

Seraphim651d ago

lol at all the downvotes - guess everyone forgot the beloved Skyrim dropped in 2011. Not to mention all the other great RPGs along the way such as, but not limited to The Witcher 3 in 2015.... or is The Witcher 3 suddenly not one of the best RPGs.

Its a solid game. This was predicted many years ago: Bethesda would not be viewed with as much adoration due to the shifting expectations of gamers. Bethesda put an equivalent amount of hard work and effort into starfield that other devs have put into their games. It just manifests itself differently. But ever since the last of us 1 dropped, the expectations of gamers has been quite clear. Graphics, presentation ( character animations etc), and story. Bethesda is still doing what they have been doing. The thing that has changed is people’s expectations.

Cockney651d ago

I knew it was our fault all along

Armaggedon651d ago

Not necessarily. I mean if you dont like the game you dont like it. Everyone own individual thoughts and impressions are technically valid towards the game. It is just my hope that people can see the value in the game, even if it does not meet individual or industry standard.

ziggyzinfirion651d ago

Not exactly sure how you end up blaming The Last of Us for the sudden change of gamers expectations. What about games like Elden Ring or Breath of the Wild which scored higher than the game you mentioned? I respect that you liked Starfield and your adoration to Bethesda but dude, people will always have different opinions or
expectations.

Armaggedon651d ago (Edited 651d ago )

It is simply an observation. People saying that Bethesda keeps making the same games and are not evolving kind of highlights the changing expectations of gamers. The thing isn’t people having different preferences, its the gross lack of understanding that many people have. Many cannot see the value of a thing beyond their own likes or preferences. It is a leading cause toward the disharmony we see in these very comment sections.

No one gives a crap about Starfield in 2025. I mean seriously, has anyone remembered this game even exists? Lmao

Alos8824d ago

They really aren't. Nothing in Starfield is nearly as iconic as anything from Fallout.

Putte23d ago

Who is even playing Starfield? That was a major let down.
