Only mod I really need is maps.
And if mods could remove the countless loadingscreens, that'd be nice as well.

And as someone who loves No Man Sky, it would be nice if modders could make it possible to actually fly away from planets and land on planets without cutscenes and menu systems.

Sonic1881268d ago

I don't even think the modders can do that

MrNinosan268d ago

Maps is surely possible, the other 2, not so much.

Andrew336268d ago

If we were able to do that I would do it once and then fast travel. Ain't no one got time to do that shit every time you go to a planet or leave. I'm playing an rpg not a flight simulator.

pezking268d ago

exactly with how many times you have to travel, doing it manually each time would be obnoxious and the same people whining about this would whine about that.

BlackOni268d ago

While I agree, I think the point is to have the option. Some people really love that part of NMS (which you can also speed up) where you get to be engaged with all aspects of traversal.

MrNinosan268d ago

I guess that goes for every game you play the?

In GTA, you teleport inside the car, and then teleport to your destination because NO ONE have time to drive to a destination.
In BotW/TotK you teleport to each shrine, because NO ONE have time to get there by climbing or gliding.
In Street Fighte you skip to Round 3 and hope one hit will defeat the opponent because NO ONE have time for the real fight.

I could go on, but I guess you get the point.

@mrninosan Nah, you don't need any maps. You're a hardcore explorer. You got this, man. You'll figure it out.

MrNinosan268d ago

A hardcore explorer absolutely use maps. Keep on trolling

ThinkThink268d ago

A hardcore explorer makes their own maps.

I feel like the second big update that releases late this year will do just that. Part of the story expansion is also new means of transportation on planets.

P_Bomb6d ago

A good DLC could turn some heads. The Destiny games got momentum that way too.

piher6d ago

What player spike?

I checked steamcharts through the link in the article and it went from 8,000 to 11.500, so yea 20% but when the game peaked at 330,000 It's safe to say that the actual effect of this update was negligible.

LostPotato6d ago

Doubt it'll ever get redemption. As many developers have said in various interviews it's beyond saving.

Just release the mod tools and expansion and move on.

Profchaos5d ago

Cyberpunk 2077 had some strong bones i disliked it on launch because I could see the potential I could see the strengths of what they wanted to achieve but it wasn't done yet

They didn't get the memo the game is dead and the Bethesdabots only want magic and fantasy.

Boy_the_CowRoy5d ago

Starfield fans? The game only has 9 thousand current players, worldwide! As a company you cannot waste time on creating "Major features", it is simply not profitable. Just move on.
