The game looks fun. Too bad it's not. It's got bad reviews on steam and it's a live service. Here's a review: "Game was released completely unfinished. Came back 9 months later and it's basically the same game." This would make it a great GamePass game.

So many of these Warhammer games are always online for some weird reason, and most of them launch unfinished and stay unfinished

Exactly, I heard Total War: Warhammer was a really good game, but for action stuff, they have missed the mark a bit.

@anast

Total War : Warhammer 1 and 2 are good games. The 3rd one unfortunately was not.

yeah the empire for me is totally unplayable, the balancing was all wrong as the vamps were too OP. But the elves were too easy.

Thanks for the warning.

It's so bad. The jank is almost worse than Outriders. The live service part is absolute garbage. It looks fun but it's like those mobile-game trailers that lie to your face.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Class Overhaul Update is a Brutal Power Fantasy

From GameWatcher: "Playing Warhammer 40K: Darktide at launch was rough, to say the least. Fatshark had already conquered the hordes of Chaos with the two fantastic Warhammer: Vermintide games, so bringing that kind of co-op shooter sensibility to the universe of Warhammer 40K felt like a no-brainer and an easy win. Fast-forward to roughly one year after its launch and one could say Darktide has finally exited its “early access” period.

Of course, anyone following this game knows that what was released in late 2022 was a 1.0 build, yet most of the post-launch support so far has been focused on fixing all that simply wasn’t where players wanted it to be. In practice, Warhammer 40K: Darktide has been reborn with the arrival of October’s “Class Overhaul” update, and character creation now goes beyond the initial steps before jumping into the maddening action, since your avatar now grows alongside your experience playing the game."
