DF goes 'eyes on' with FSR 3 - and a new AMD frame-gen solution that works with every DX11 and DX12 game.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth publisher Square Enix has declared a $140m loss based on a shakeup of its internal development pipeline.
What are they doing over there? Sounds like they canceled something big. I read a rumor a while back about ff9 remake . Here "Final Fantasy IX has gone through a very challenging development, the game is still in progress but may undergo changes drastic enough that we won't hear about it for a couple of years."
This could be one of the reasons if the rumor is true. That was Silknight i don't know how credible he is but it's something and it would make sense.
The industry implosion is continuing. Sky high budgets, prolonged development windows, stagnant sales numbers, and falling currency values (inflation) are wreaking havoc on the legacy industry. AAA games will slowly become the rarity.

Oh wow I wonder if this works on PS5 and Xbox Series.
Frame generation is kind of junk, causes problems in some games, I wonder if AMD's implementation causes higher latency and other issues too.
Going by UE5 videos you still need a beefy GPU to run the games well regardless of having DLSS/FSR, it helps boost the FPS but it doesn't make up enough for having a weaker GPU. You can get away with an upper end card, otherwise you need a 4090. It's that demanding.
Anyone know if this frame gen works with any modern amd card or is it exclusive to new 7000 series cards.
Problem with FG is the latency and artefacts is awful with anything under a base FPS of 60fps, and I imagine that it'll be worse on console due to AMD's approach of jack of all trades but not as good as nvidia and the higher base latency on console compared to PC, it won't be optimal. Most games coming out going forward will be 1080p or less at 60fps with that and the high latency it'll be horrible.
I'm happy to be proved wrong but I can't see it been a great option.
Bullshit title. Only works across all DX11 and 12 games with an AMD card.
