Absolutely gorgeous game graphically and I'm sure the story will be really good but the pacing makes it a lil dull at some points, and I hope the rest of the game has a little more action, varied weapons & enemies, I like the atmosphere I just need a bit more to go with the tons of dialogue.

WOW! What an incredible amount of words to say so little.

A bizarre, verbal onslaught "review" that tries so hard to be eloquently whimsical in its writing to cover the fact it doesn't really contain any content. Other than the self explanatory and rehashing what we already know...

Someone's either trying really hard to impress someone at the office or this was written by AI.. Tone it down a bit, It'll give people less of a headache.

Alan Wake II: Night Springs DLC Review - IGN

Alan Wake II: Night Springs veers from ultra violence to tense survival horror, before settling into the multiversal madness of the series at its best.

Petebloodyonion8d ago

The NightSpring DLC was evidently crafted for enthusiasts of Remedy games, with each episode drawing from a distinct Remedy experience. The "Number 1 Fan" story allows you to play as Rose, designed to mirror the over-the-top action of AW American Nightmare. It earns extra points for featuring Mr. Scratch and concluding in a manner reminiscent of AW American Nightmare, notably with a nod to Alice's dress from the game.

In Episode 2, the narrative continues with Jesse's quest to locate her brother, aided by Polaris. The Hiss have transformed into the 'Coffee people,'

Episode 3 represents Remedy's finest effort to link Quantum Break to the AW universe without explicitly naming Quantum Break. The actor notes that the sequel they are filming should include FMV sequences similar to the first game, and Sam Lake describes how he is destined to become a superhero. Sean Ashmore's narration is a direct nod to Quantum Break, akin to Jesse's inclusion in this episode

Alan Wake 2 Getting A Disc Edition Is A Massive Win For Physical Media Enjoyers

Hanzala from eXputer: "A major reason of Alan Wake 2 underperforming was no physical release; I'm glad the game's finally considering one, alongside a fabulous DLC."

It seems though Xbox Series X owners are being shafted though

shinoff218310d ago

Well atleast all those Xbox fans who told me to go cry in a corner when I complained about cyberpunk on ps5 being like that for Playstation buyers will know how it feels.

MetroidFREAK2110d ago

I got Cyberpunk on PS5 and have come to accept the DLC isn't on disc, even though I really want it to be. What's more important to me though is the base game being preserved in both instances and this is where Remedy is dropping the ball on Xbox

lodossrage10d ago

This should have happened day 1.

I'm sure they'll get some buyers but nowhere near what they would have this came out day 1

shinoff218310d ago

In a way I'm kinda glad this happened like this.

I'd prefer the most complete game on the disc. I don't need the latest and greatest. I've got patience

toxic-inferno10d ago

Also, releasing this way will send a message to publishers about the future of physical media. AW2 has struggled to become profitable, but if the physical release makes it profitable, they will have to acknowledge that there is real demand for physical media.

Not that they'll necessarily listen...

lodossrage10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

I see both your points

Honestly, in a small way I hope it doesn't sell well as an F U to the physical buyers that were forced to wait over a year. But I also see how that could be counter productive.

On topic, for all those of you that say "it's going to happen anyway" or "get used to it", this whole ordeal exposes the point I made years ago. The industry goes where YOUR wallet allows it to go. If people stop buying digital, what do you think will happen?, They'll be forced to go physical. Need proof? Look here at AW2

neomahi10d ago

Again, it's Collectors Edition ONLY and it's $200. There's no standard edition at the standard price so, unless you pay $200, keep dreamin

QuantumMechanic10d ago

You're mistaken. The announced deluxe version is to take the place of a standard version at retail.

Zenzuu10d ago

Should've been available since day one.

shinoff218310d ago (Edited 10d ago )

Glad this is happening. Just a question cause I was trying to watch at work in the middle of a mold change lol. Is the dlc going to be on disc? It sounds like it.

I_am_Batman10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

It looks like the PS5 version will have the full game + DLC on disc. The Xbox version will require a download.
