It’s crazy that you got downvoted for this. SMH

Good Guy Phil - he’s talking at an Xbox event yet is praising a PS5 exclusive.

This means Ms will try and buy Larian Studios. Ms doesn't believe in building studios are games from the ground up.

"Great for the industry"
No, Great for consumers. The industry is a bunch of money-sucking suits padding extra monetization models onto games, they need to gtfo.

Godmars290272d ago

No, great for MS. Maybe.

The game has to come out and actually be well received. Not just be positive PR spin. Then there needs to be consistent releases, that are also actually and honestly well received.

Gardenia272d ago

Exactly. If a company like EA or Activision would buy the developer they would ruin the gameplay with season pass and microtransaction. Take Diablo 4 for example.

Magatsuhi272d ago

Meaning it's another IP they want to purchase to further monopolize games.

Soulsborne272d ago

Keep this dog away from Larian Studios.

UltimateOwnage272d ago

In other words they want to buy them up and stuff their game on GamePass before they get too big / successful.

phoenixwing272d ago (Edited 272d ago )

Pretty much. Larian has made them look bad with s parity. So buy them up and they won't be able to complain plus you get devs who can make good games.

Edit: I said this before but Sony should buy larian studios.

It's the why we close servers after 2 years, why we re-use the same assets every year, and why we bundle our game with enjoyable microtransactions.

Running digital casinos in every game

Re-using assets is not a bad thing tbh. Development is all about re-using code, assets and components.
