Following a recent interview with Sony, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann claims the original intent was “unfortunately lost” in the process.
Glad he clarified it but i'm still somewhat skeptical. Plus, his comments about how Ai will revolutionize storytelling were still pretty iffy.
Starfield's recent player spike is a good sign, but Bethesda desperately need to line up their Cyberpunk 2077 moment.
I feel like the second big update that releases late this year will do just that. Part of the story expansion is also new means of transportation on planets.
What player spike?
I checked steamcharts through the link in the article and it went from 8,000 to 11.500, so yea 20% but when the game peaked at 330,000 It's safe to say that the actual effect of this update was negligible.
Doubt it'll ever get redemption. As many developers have said in various interviews it's beyond saving.
Just release the mod tools and expansion and move on.

Starting gun was Halo which over their control has gradually become a shell of it's former self. Let's seriously cut the fanboy BS off for a minute. MS has had a horrible track record over the last 2 gens. Practically every studio under their name has been and is still horribly mismanaged, that includes the ones obtained after the Bethesda deal because anyone with working eyes could see Redfall was a ball of jank and they still pushed it out. And now they're hypin this one game as the second coming of Xbox Jesus. Let games speak from themselves, cause otherwise you keep setting up people fr disappointment.
