Yes, Ubisoft's divisive pirate RPG Skull and Bones appears to be sailing on the tides of success, as Ubisoft prepares to launch Season 2.
Does anyone have accurate gameplay numbers from Steam or PSN? I smell snow job...
If true, it goes to show that the negative press response was not reflecting reality. I personally thought omitting land traversal was a huge miss. But i also thought there was some things that were great about it. Lets see which story was true and which was made up (or worse, paid for)
No data just pr talk. The same site has an article talking about how the price of the game was slashed quickly post release, these sites treat us like fools lol
Despite all the hype, marketing, development time and resources behind them, these blockbuster titles would disappoint fans.
The Order 1886 wasn't disappointing.
It was great.
Maybe do an article about Games Journalists Lied About. That would be a good read.
Sure, the campaign was terrible, but MW3 isn't even the top three most disappointing COD games...
Suicide Squad being at number 2 or even in this list seems like a freebie - its existence alone was disappointing, I don't think many people actually had positive expectations for it near release.
Not having Starfield at all feels like they're ignoring a huge conversation of last year. Even as someone that likes the game, ignoring its reception is head-in-the-sand at best and its restrictions were magnified by its release alongside Baldur's Gate 3. The disappointment many feel about it FARRRRR exceeds any disappointment people have for random third party titles like... Biomutant, and Exoprimal... Same could be said for reception around Forza Motorsport.
Dive into our in-depth review of Skull and Bones, Ubisoft's latest MMORPG venture. After 200 hours of navigating tumultuous seas and engaging in naval warfare, we explore what sets this pirate adventure apart.
How much did they pay you? I’m kidding, there’s always crazy opinions out there that can be so off the mark it’s baffling. There’s so much better games out there worth 200 hours of your time than this.
6-7 imo.
Base games on value.
I got 80hrs out of it before I burnt out, <0.70p per hour. Can't go wrong.
Wow, based on this review I wouldn't trust your opinion on any game. This game is pure unmitigated trash. Whoever wrote the plot wouldn't know a good story if it ran over them with an 18 wheeler, and the gameplay is even worse. You couldn't give me this game if you put it in a PS5 that I was being given for free. It's a sorry excuse for a pirate game or a game in general. I'd give it a 3 at best.
I guess they took the last year to pretty much just upgrade graphics. I'm not mistaken that this is pretty much an MP survival game, right? Like Rust or Age of Conan, just at sea?
I get that Ubi has a deal with the Singapore Government to release this but why they are dragging their feet on just releasing it, getting the bad reviews, lost revenue etc and just moving on is beyond me... nothing they do can make this some huge success beloved by all with top review scores.
Take the L, move on!
This was a cool idea 10 years ago when it was supposed to ride off of AC: Black Flags ship mechanic. Now it's just an embarrasment. Cancel it or release and move on.
How to say that you havent learned shit or taking in anything of the critisism from people without actually saying it.
Pirate ships with mortars, torpedoes and flamers... lol... what a complete joke.
What if they had taken the sailing and learning aspect from that from SEA OF THIEVES and just added cannons to it with destructible boats etc. Much like Assasins Creed Black Flag but with some extra "sailing" things.
Btw these guys gonna take over Black Flag Remaster... jesus christ if all i have to say about that.
Everything I've seen on this game just looks so.......unappealing. Generic even...
