"The US-based world-famous video games publisher/developer Apogee Entertainment and New Zealand-based indie games developer Trigger Happy Interactive (from the creator of award-winning DOOM II mod “Total Chaos”), are today very proud and happy to announce that the full version (v1.0) of their their brutal cyberpunk-themed FPS “Turbo Overkill”, is now available for PC via Steam and GOG." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Michael Kitchin writes, "Turbo Overkill feels surprisingly dense. The shooting feels visceral and the movement at your disposal is very swift. Platforming can be a pain, especially on controller but the moments of frustration are worth toughing through. Pacing does take a hit when the enemy counts balloon in the third episode but I still enjoy this gory ascent into a dumb, cyberpunk world."
"Turbo Overkill is an intense retro shooter by Trigger Happy Interactive. Previously only available on PC, thanks to publishing by Apogee Entertainment it is now available on consoles." Jordan @ Thumb Culture
Review - Turbo Overkill is bonkers. It is fast, furious, and insanely fun, with a cool retro vibe married to modern day speed and mechanics.
Having a blast with this on my Switch. I bought it initially from Steam back in 2023 but the controls were very jank using an Xbox controller. No issues on the Switch and the performance is better.
