Agreed, also am I the only one that gets the ads for AI girlfriend on YouTube every single time I visit. Not once do I even search for ai or girlfriend/relationship related stuff, so it shouldn't be a part of the algorithm

It's crazy how many people can't see AI as a valuable tool.

ThichQuangDuck262d ago

talking to npcs in GTAVI isn't valuable. Having NPC AI realistically react to what you are saying and take actions within the game based on your actions is useful. Me asking Smarterchild what its favorite color is on my twitch stream doesn't add anything of value to the gameplay mechanics. Its a gimmick. Call it for what it is.

Can't you see that this is where this is going? This is a random mod for GTA V. The Skyrim AI mod already has NPCs following your commands and an awareness of what's around them. Again, just from mods. Imagine the possibilities when a AAA dev builds a whole game around it?

Rockstar needs to pull the plug on this monster and let it die. Please, for the love of all things gaming, just stop adding more to this game. Can R* just get along with it and release ANY nugget, a friggin turd sized tidbit of information about GTA6…or a patch for RDR2, I’d even take an announcement for a remaster of the original RDR on Nintendo Switch over another GTAV article.

You do realize what happens if this is wildly popular, right? This should be ignored.

The only PlayStation dev I care about tbh.

Cacabunga14h ago

Hopefully doesn’t take them a complete gen to release it

Good. Something not boring, not one of those "make your own game" crap and also on Steam would be nice.

I too like to look for things in the wrong places.

"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."

If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.

If it was more online-only crap then good riddance.

jjb198122h ago

Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.

thorstein20h ago

I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.

Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition Reneges on Promised Content Behind $250 Price Tag

The new Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition has the community in an outrage after promising exclusive access to the new PvE mode for $250 USD.

Christopher1d 11h ago

$250? Do they not know all the other games that already exist or will be made in the future that can do similar?

SimpleDad1d 2h ago (Edited 1d 2h ago )

This is for the hardcore people that have 2500 h in the game. They basically play that one game the whole year.
Oh and those same people are mad as hell at this... what a way to reward fans of your game and annihilate newcomers.

Read a comment earlier calling it a "special monetization operation." I had to chuckle at that.
