Deck13 : Whenever we read a comment claiming we use Unreal Engine, one of our engine programmers cries. In reality the Fledge Engine is created inhouse by us, powering the world of Atlas Fallen and our past titles.
Neil writes - "Been looking for a reason to head back to Atlas Fallen on Xbox, PlayStation or PC? The new Reign of Sand free update should well provide it."
Nice, had some fun at launch, but was a bit rough so set it aside. Looks like it’s time to head back.
Atlas Fallen set to receive major update!
Cool! Been meaning to go back to this one. Was fun, got it at launch, but was a bit rough around the edges so I set it aside for a while.
Here is some extended gameplay from the opening of Atlas Fallen on a PS5.
That is definitely interesting. As I'm pretty sure I saw this game in lists of "upcoming U5 titles".
I am not a game developer(have done a bunch of web development) so unless you are a major studio, it seems like developing your own engine takes time away from game development to develop the engine itself.
Can game devs chime in if it is worth it to develop your own engine vs one that is widely used and has a ton of support?
