Adult-themed Game developer/publisher ILLUSION Closes its doors

Cg writes: For those who enjoy adult themed gaming, the recent news that Japanese developer Illusion Software will be closing its doors in the coming month hits hard. A post on Steam suggests that all activity will end on August 18, 2023 at 10:00 (Japan time). This means gems such as VR Kanojo and Honey Select will no longer be available to purchase in the West, via Steam or otherwise. Illusion’s games have also been compatible with Steam VR, so it will be a shame for these to no-longer be available.

Good. No need to play this nonsense. Be creative and put thought into making real games.

Godmars290642d ago (Edited 642d ago )

Either funny or just odd that you think this is about gaming...

Also not like if what they've made still sells, another company wont buy their "games". That another company, with all the same people, isn't going to pop up over night.

Huey_My_D_Long642d ago

Booo. I said Booo. Boooooooooooooo
I'll make sure I grab Honey Select. and I'll message you my thoughts and prayers on it.

ChiefofLoliPolice642d ago

The type of games people enjoy is subjective. When you say "no need to play this nonsense" that's quite arrogant of you to say. Not everyone likes your idea of "real games".

anast642d ago

No need to worry about what other people like.

“No need to play this nonsense. Be creative and put thought into making real games.”
Do you realize that because of games like those we don’t have to see females with triangles boobs like Lara on tomb raider.
Oh wait you’re too young for that 🤷🏿

TheEnigma313641d ago

I'm probably older than you. No need for nonsense like i said. Get a real woman

Phoenix76641d ago

Oh man, I miss Sam Fox's Strip Poker for zx48 and c64 lol

“I'm probably older than you. No need for nonsense like i said. Get a real woman”

A nice childish dodge you got there, gramps I don’t see anything in response to my comment except for childish attempt to offend 🤷🏿.
Get a real life and stop projecting your inferiority onto others, there’s some good psychologists online that can help you if you let them.
Conversation is over do not expect any response I do not feel like doing your parents job at educating you.

Like I said it’s a lost for the industry regardless of the game genre when a game studio closes down

ThEusAisPoisonous641d ago

No, it’s not a loss in the slightest.

CrimsonWing69641d ago

I’m sure there’s idiots that think games you play are nonsense. Don’t be like them.

the need to go talk to real women

Huey_My_D_Long641d ago (Edited 641d ago )

I'm sure you got women lined up waiting for you to get done posturing to other people on the comment section of a gaming news site..
"Why isn't Enigma talking to us or whispering sweet "peg me softly" into our ears, guess he has better people to impress"
Guess what real ladies who are definitely real, He does and he failed

VincentVanBro641d ago

Bhuahahaha641d ago (Edited 641d ago )
