Insomniac Games Is Working on Another AAA, Unannounced Game

It has been confirmed that the studio is working on an unannounced AAA title alongside both Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine.

Resistance and kilzone reboots are needed, then we can forget about that COD crap. Kill one shadow fall was an error because it's wasn't great, kz2 and kz3 were both awesome.

@excaliburps @Markdn For sure. Doesn't even have to be a new one, just a reboot/reimagining could be amazing. The MP was actually quite good for its time. I always enjoyed Insomniac's crazy weapons.

Maybe do a Fall of Man reimagining and then for the sequels take the series on a different path

Would be nice to keep Nathan Hale as the main character for three games to develop the character, and if he can get over his infection they can develop his mutated powers more in forms of abilities and upgrades

Then there is the SP game. One of those games that you feel like you are in a hopeless situation but still fight with your fellow men despite the odds. Then there were the weapons.

Absolutely agree! Insomniac have truly shown themselves deserving of all the praise, respect and trust thats come their way. One of Sony’s best and finest teams, as well as in the industry today!

As a Sony/PlayStation it’s always appreciated when we as gamers get a little glimpse “Deep dive” of these dev’s and their game in studio. Behind the scenes of them in their element, creating, playing, explaining the new advancements in tech, gameplay etc is always a treat. But the best part is seeing how passionate these teams really are at what they do, loving and respecting video games and knowing how to make them great.

Insomniacs quality of work continues to get better across each new game, showing they’re not messing around and their fellow friends at the other Sony studios will have to BRING IT! Haha, and we know the other studios will bring their best, and it’ll just elevate each other, all in good fun no doubt. I know they all love supporting each other’s work, being amazed by what their respective teams achieve, and go back to their studios and strive to aim even higher, which is awesome. That friendly competition that brings the best out of all of them!

If you look up zubytech on twitter, there is a list (semi accurate I presume) of all in development ps5 games.

Its a lot.

Its made up from ones we know, job listings on LinkedIn etc and rumours but overall it's very sensible. Check it out.

If its live service/multiplayer title then resistance is a decent bet the ip would suit such a model quite well I think and has history being a flagship multiplayer title that sony at the time actually did put out to compete with halo and COD and managed to sell well despite the competition. Its coop was second to none in resistance 2 so...

Resistance was a very average game. The story was generic too. It doesn't need to come back. The only thing that was pretty cool were some of the weapons

I'd love that but I think if we ever get to see resistance against it would be a reboot given the last time resistance was released it was a PS3 game given the lack of BC I'd say a good percentage of the PS community have never had the privilege of playing the games it would just be far to much of a barrier of entry unless there's a remaster of the first 3 and spin offs

Could be Sunset Overdrive. A PS4 port is unannounced. Look, you've got to let your developers do what they want to do. If they want to work on Sunset Overdrive, or Fuze, or whatever, you gotta let them. Insomniac have proven themselves. They have creative projects they want to do and for community morale, you gotta let them. As long as they're making Sony money with Spider-man, its successful, but it's not going to last. Learn from Naughty Dogs previous examples, ALWAYS LEAVE THEM WANTING MORE, rather than burning them out. Look at Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot vs well, now we can say Xbox's Crash. Jak & Daxter and Uncharted. Now, look at Halo. Seldom can you pull off Mario and Zelda success, it's Miyamoto! Once he's gone, Nintendo's creative genius will be gone. Let Insomniac do as they will as long as they're doing what your requesting and making money, again, they've proven they make good games that catch interest

Honestly, it's crazy how prolific they have been since being acquired. This generation, they've remastered Spider-Man, made Miles Morales and Rift Apart; they've got Spider-Man 2 dropping in a couple of months and Wolverine following. That's five games, now another title.

Kudos to them for the effort and consistent quality, but I really hope the teams are doing alright and not overextending themselves.

But ND makes game of the generation defining games, something Insomniac doesn’t do.
