Fans of other consoles knew the joyride would start coming to a close. And that services like XBL would be getting more worse to also push transition to game pass. Besides raising the price of game pass.
To Microsoft, giving you less but the consumer paying more, is considered more "value."
I can't remember it ever being a 1:1 conversion. If it ever was it must of been along time ago.
I'd imagine the price increases will negatively impact this conversion rate further, as well.
The hole as it stands puts game pass at just under 10$ per month (annually: 60$ for gold + $17 for one month gpu = 77$ for 9 months of gamepass). Not terrible but now requires some thought before actually purchasing.
