Xbox Series X|S vs Xbox One Sales Comparison - May 2023

May 2023 is the 31st month the Xbox Series X|S has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the Xbox Series X|S when compared to the aligned launch of the Xbox One by 67,379 units.

In the last 12 months, the Xbox One has caught up with the Xbox Series X|S by 0.67 million units. The Xbox Series X|S is currently ahead by 0.89 million units.

Not to mention that this is despite that with each generation the consumer market for video games grows significantly. Staying neck and neck means losing ground.

Kinda embarrassing if you think about it. XSS is selling for less than an Xbox One at this stage in its life and yet it is about to be caught up by a 'failed' console. Numbers are looking bleak.

You can get them for 200$ or less and it doesn’t help sales very much . I’ve seen Series X less than MSRP several places lately. 50 ish million is their cap even with a growing market

Imo it proves just how many gamers bought multiple Xbox 360 due to RrOD.
Agree Xbox market is around the 50m mark.

I was one of those.
I needed to play Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, and other random JRPGs that MS paid time exclusivity for, and ended up buying 3 X360 and 1 Elite.
