how anyone supports this company is beyond me. as far as i'm concerned, act/blizz and ms are made for each other lol

sadraiden682d ago

Do you know why you're upset?

chobit_A5HL3Y681d ago

seems like you're the one who's upset lol

shadowknight203679d ago (Edited 679d ago )

I agree with you. Gamers/consumers shouldn't support such business practices.

Fishy Fingers682d ago

Wheres the backlash? The article doesnt present any evidence of it. I guess it could be news to new comers to the game/genre but this is just how Diablo and pretty much all ARPGs work.

BlackDoomAx682d ago

It is. I had to explain the concept of seasons to most of my friends that are new to the genre. And Blizzard taking elements of mmorpg doesn't help, because it attracts mmo players, who are used to play the same character for years. So people thinking they could lose it make them lise their mind xD

Michiel1989682d ago

there are a lot of complaints but what I doubt this article will say is that those same people also praise the game for a lot of things. As I predicted the base game has too few content and the seasons are gonna be make or break.

INMATEofARKHAM682d ago

I think some of it isn't just not understanding this is the norm but also because their battle pass rewards cannot be earned outside of season characters. (Granted, that's not exactly new either.)

BrainSyphoned682d ago

Blizz just needs to be patient for the new blood to see how seasons work. I'd rather them focus on incentivising the end game more than worrying about new arpg players whining on twitter.

sadraiden682d ago

Tell them to kick rocks. Diablo is Diablo. Don't like Diablo? Why did you buy Diablo then?

ChasterMies682d ago

You Diablo hard with this one. Must have been Diablo time.

wenaldy682d ago

Why can't they make the game can be played offline.

OMGitzThatGuy682d ago

Because all of the progression is linked between single player, leaderboards, coop, and pvp with some form of an in game trade economy and making it able to be played offline creates a big hole for exploits and bug farming as people wouldn’t be forced to patch their games, not to mention PC gamers are not trust worthy when it comes to piracy. They could make offline and online characters and make it so they have no way to trade between each other and make it permanent but people will still complain.

Remember Oblivion horse armor everyone? Good times good times.

gigoran815h ago

I remember when they were testing the waters with paid DLC and people were screaming to not buy them so that companies would get the idea that we didn't want to pay for unfinished games. Gamers didn't listen, now the game companies are lapping it up.

Xristo7h ago

The Oblivion horse armor may have been the beginning of cosmetics however, the WoW Celestial Mount takes the cake for setting us up for the present day. That mount made more money for Blizzard than the whole Starcraft 2 franchise. Just sad and crazy.

Michiel19892h ago

horse armor wasn't the first mtx, far from it.

PRIMORDUS2h ago

Nope cause I torrented that game and the horse DLC lol

tombfan14h ago

When did we lost the ability to see COSMETICS on game stores at just $3 DLLs...

anast13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

It's Diablo Immortal: Re-skinned, the Orca edition.

Michiel19899h ago

at least be right for once...diablo immortal is D3 reskinned.....
You are always the most opiniated on games you haven't played and don't know a single thing about.

anast6h ago

Hi Mich. Good to see you are kind of doing okay. You still have this fascination with imaginary omnipotence, but at least we are getting somewhere.

Michiel19895h ago

you recovered from the iceberg?

Diablo 4 devs state game’s hated roadmap is incomplete, promise “good surprises” are coming

Speaking to fans on Twitter, Blizzard director of social and content marketing Adan Fketcher explained that the roadmap fans have been given is incomplete. While the roadmap does include some of the additions coming to the ARPG, there’s also more that the studio has yet to reveal.

AndrewM27d ago

Sorry I picked up Poe 2 last week, and it is way better than your game will ever be.

anast27d ago (Edited 27d ago )

They should have taken their time and made a good game instead of panicking after the Immortal "Don't you have phones?" fallout.

Michiel198927d ago

it already took them a decade, not sure how much more time they need

anast27d ago

They hadn't worked on it for a decade: "instead of panicking after the Immortal "Don't you have phones?" fallout."

CrimsonWing6926d ago

I haven’t beaten Diablo 4, but from the time I’ve spent I really loved it. What is it that people hate about it?

anast26d ago

The builds are too basic and the end game is not good, which is fine if they went the Diablo 2 route, but unlike D2 the build complexity really isn't there — the lack of tend game quality and the lack of build complexity is a recipe for suck in the ARPG space.
