NoobFeed Editor Jacob Cowsert writes - Layers of Fear (2023) just doesn’t seem to scratch that itch that many will be looking for when searching for a game to play. It does do many things right in the sense that it does feel like a scary game, but it certainly isn’t for everybody. It certainly feels like the type of game built for people who love YouTubers that play horror games, as it is easily accessible and not a very difficult game to get through. It is a game built to get a reaction from the audience and not much else.
With Layers of Fear, Bloober Team reworks their previous horror releases into a single package that’s worth revisiting and getting spooked over again.
This is the definitive version of the game and it brings all the previous Layers of Fear content together in a cohesive whole.
GB: "Even in a year as excellent for gaming as 2023 has been, there have been more than a few disappointing releases."
Greyhill Incident had potential but got slammed. I’ll still try it, but on sale or GamePass. Someday.
This may be the worst review I’ve ever read.
Well the first 2 were not difficult either as they were bordering on walking simulator category.
The fact that you cant change the darkness setting is however a big no no in horror games
No idea about this review but I find it strange they remade a game that really didn’t need to be remade. Unless it’s totally better by a massive amount a new game would have made more sense imo
