It'll be interesting to see if EA continues with Dead Space without the original developer's. All the original developer's are working on Callisto Protocol

I hear you but I am a little worried that it might feel TOO similar to Dead Space and it might not blow our socks off, instead just playing it safe with a tried and true formula.

Update: just finished watching the new 8 min gameplay video. I saw alot of refined melee, dodging attacks from enemies, and even stealth attacks on enemies. I welcome that.
