IGN: "Check out two different Notorious Mark battles from Final Fantasy 16. Grimalkin is a level 32 monster of rank C that is somewhat reminiscent of a hyena or leopard. Atlas is a level 45 S-ranked enemy that looks similar to an Iron Giant, one of Final Fantasy’s most iconic enemies."
Square Enix president Takashi Kiryu provided an official statement on Final Fantasy XVI's sales and mentioned interesting plans for smaller IPs.
Go FFXVI.
I wonder what small IP they have in mind. I would love a Parasite Eve game that plays like the RERemakes and keeps the survival horror tone.
This ongoing saga hurts my brain. The game sold 3 million at launch. Case closed. The game sold great.
This is just me, again, not dogging on this game, it’s Day 1 for me, but these IGN vids are so boring to sit through. I feel like this might be a game that’s better played than watched.
I also blame FF7 Rebirth, because the sh*t they showed really put this battle system to shame. I almost wish 16 just followed that instead. But, I’m not jumping to conclusions, this could be a case where the person playing just sucks and you can do way more or it’s just a case that they’re early in the game and haven’t unlocked cooler skills to use.
I’m just tired of seeing the slashing, the Garuda claw grip, and Phoenix uppercut also this battle theme isn’t doing it for me. It does have a sort of throw back to old-school FF battle music, hell even a little FFX in there, but I wish it was dramatic/intense sounding.
