MiHoYo's concerted efforts to promote HSR to Genshin Impact's existing player base, as well as collaborations with Genshin Impact influencers who switched their focus to HSR, have been witnessed by the gaming community. While leveraging an existing player base is a sound strategy, it's important to remember that both HSR and Genshin Impact require significant time and financial investments from players.
Apart from the Gacha aspect, Honkai Star Rail is really fun, Genshin too.
My only worry is how long they will make gachas that are on the consumer friendly side where you can beat the story without a pay2win micro transactions. All it takes is for the ceo to change their mind and this whole "surprisingly good gacha" turns into sour milk for players.
If I can play the game without having to buy anything then yeah, I’ll give it a try when it comes to PS5.
