"Among Roguelike platformers, Dead Cells from Motion Twin and Rogue Legacy 2 are the cream of the crop. Dead Cells has made a name for itself by launching in 2018 and then continuing to release numerous updates and DLC expansions in the years since. The most recent expansion, “Return to Castlevania,” adds crossover material based on Konami’s beloved Castlevania series," says Co-Optimus.
Publisher Merge Games and developer Motion Twin have announced new physical and special editions of roguelite platformer Dead Cells including the downloadable content “Return to Castlevania” (plus all previous downloadable content and updates) for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. It will launch on August 11. It is also the first appearance of a native PlayStation 5 version.
Good game! I already have the PS4 game with all the DLC. With loading times being nothing, there's no reason to buy it again for me. If you haven't picked this up and love Castlevania and roguelike games, it might be worth it to grab the all in one PS5 version when it comes out
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "The long life of Dead Cells continues with the Return to Castlevania DLC. It isn't a replacement for a brand new Castlevania experience, but it's certainly a worthwhile expansion to the beloved base game. Dead Cells fans will find a lot of value in the add-on, as will any Castlevania followers willing to tolerate a considerable amount of repetition and randomness."
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition is presumably getting a native PlayStation 5 release.
Really want this, but want the regular DLC first.
