1 million extra sales over your competitor in just one month will do that! Impressive feat, with Final Fantasy XVI just around the corner. Quite the turnaround since the supply shortage.

At this point, we’re comparing apples to oranges since Xbox appears to not be interested in moving consoles anymore.

Aloymetal115d ago

Next year will be even more. Nothing's stopping this train.

After Spider-Man and Final Fantasy 16 launches, I expect the PS5 to be over 50+ million by the end of the year.

Aloymetal115d ago

The market leader doing its regular thing. Congratulations!

Hofstaderman115d ago

Makes decent exclusives, keep them coming at regular intervals and sell consoles. A simple example of positive correlation.

Magog115d ago

Much better than decent. The best, most polished and complete games in the industry.

While others count success with how well a showcase does, the real success is in the form of game output, money made, and units sold. One of those consoles does all three of them very well. 😉

rlow1115d ago

Yeah it’s called the switch

EvertonFC114d ago (Edited 114d ago )

WoW didn't realise I could play Sony 1st party titles on the switch/S.
What are you playing all gen, cartoon games.

AmUnRa114d ago

Thats a very pitty way of trolling and dismissing the succes of the PS5, try again.😉

BehindTheRows114d ago (Edited 114d ago )

"Competition" meaning Xbox ........ you know, the ONLY OTHER CONSOLE in this comparison.

Apply being "cheeky" when you aren't clueless.

BehindTheRows114d ago (Edited 114d ago )

@rlow1

The Switch was in this comparison? Oh, right.

Even if it was, that negates none of what I said.

Chevalier114d ago

Not sure how that makes it better for Xbox that BOTH their competitors in Nintendo and Playstation absolutely dominate them?! Lol.

But I guess its true at this rate Xbox will always be 3rd rate.

rlow1114d ago

@BehindTheRows
You’re the one who implied the competition by your remark.

“While others count success with how well a showcase does”

So back at you, why did you bring up other consoles in an article that had nothing to do with them?

That’s why I brought up the Switch.

Because a cheeky comment deserves a cheeky response.

I just bought a PS5 digital system for my niece birthday this Saturday, she wants to play Hogwarts. My cousin also just bought a digital PS5 and covers which are currently sitting in my living room until he picks them up later this afternoon.

Buying the systems directly from Sony we are able to get our systems in two days, purchased Monday deliver Wednesday.

Aloymetal115d ago

Congrats! To you and your family enjoy the consoles;)

Abnor_Mal115d ago

Thanks, I’m sure they will enjoy them, cuz just picked up his system and headed home, says he’s going to buy Diablo4 as his first PS5 game.

Hofstaderman115d ago

Nice, I can only imagine the anticipation.

Abnor_Mal115d ago

My niece face is going to beam when I walk through the door with the console and code for the game. For Christmas I’ll get her/them a years worth of PlusExtra.

Hofstaderman115d ago

Nothing better than seeing that on a kid's face. Takes me back to when my dad got me my consoles.

Chevalier114d ago

"My niece face is going to beam when I walk through the door with the console and code for the game. For Christmas I’ll get her/them a years worth of PlusExtra"

Before that they'll need expanded memory. These new games storage requirements are insane. Storage gets eaten up pretty quick

Abnor_Mal114d ago

I’m hoping that the system gets continued use and the novelty of having a system doesn’t wear off soon.

Similar to when I bought them a Seitch and after a while just sat there unused.

I said if that happens again with this one then that’s it. No extra storage they need to learn management instead of just dumping everything onto the hard drive.

I’ll be getting an SSD 2TB for myself soon thought.

EvertonFC114d ago

I still prefer going to retail to pick up my consoles, something about the excitement of it.
Hope you're niece and cousin enjoy 👍

Abnor_Mal114d ago

Unfortunately many stores in my area are still not carrying PS5s, and the bigger box stores are selling out quickly.

GameStop is busy selling refurbished consoles for fifty dollars less than msrp, so it’s better to just order from Sony Direct and get a brand new system. Plus this was is a bit more convenient for busy lives.
