Some eagle-eyed users noticed that a Final Fantasy XVI demo listing appeared on the PlayStation Store after pre-ordering the game.

I've been trying to do exactly the same, but this I think it's a vertical slice of the very first few hours, so in a way not spoiler, you are playing the beginning of the game early and then continuing once the game comes out, I might play if that's the case.

It's a Square demo thou, which means.
You play from the beginning for about 2 hours, and when you get the game, you just continue.

It seems extremely freaking contradictory to me. I’ve pre-ordered FF16 digitally and the pre-order doesn’t show up for me.

I promise you, the demo isn’t tied to a pre-order, that’s is absolutely ludicrous.

I'm not saying it's exclusive to preorders. I'm saying that the wording of the description is why people are mentioning it being for preorders. Considering Square Enix has paywalled demos multiple times, by making people buy Blu Ray films or other games, it would hardly be surprising. Hence why people are questioning it.
