The Silent Hill 2 remake would be smart to learn from Resident Evil 2's own remake, especially in its moment-to-moment gameplay.

4 was great... but missed some things. But still, the RE remakes have been some of the best remakes.

Capcom is not the blueprint for how remakes should be done. Capcom is one of a few that have done it well for their particular franchise. In that regard let the makers of silent hill decide what is right for the game.
