"THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just kicked-off the second season for "MX vs ATV Legends"." - THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios.
The Supercross World Tour packs brings new tracks to MX vs ATV Legends on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC
CCG writes - "MX vs ATV Legends is honestly a lot of fun, but it's also a bit rough around the edges. Thankfully, there have already been nine patches since release, and so I believe that Rainbow Studios and THQ Nordic will keep patching it to make things better. There is quite a lot of DLC that can easily cost more than the game's purchase price, which can understandably upset a lot of gamers. On the plus side, there is plenty of content out of the box, and it runs great even on Steam Deck, where I've put probably over half of my play time. I'm not certain if it plays all of the cut scenes (there aren't many, but a few I've noticed) on Deck, but races themselves work wonderfully. MX vs ATV Legends is honestly quite fun to play despite its flaws, and I would definitely encourage you to take a closer look if you think it's something you would enjoy."
During a recent earnings call, it was discussed that MX vs ATV Legends' sales performance missed expectations and that its return is now expected to be long-term.
The problem with the game is they do a CGI trailer and when you actually buy the game it's nothing like the trailer so people get disappointed, splashdown and ATV fury on PS2 were fun to play
The absurd number of MX vs ATV and other squad games on sale during the Steam sales recently cant possibly have helped either. I think i bought like 5 of them that i'll never play
the biggest problem is that in all of the newer ones you cant even "feel" the suspension in the bikes. it doesnt feel right, and thus, isnt fun. nothing really improves in these games. instead, random things just get worse. in this iteration, you can easily knock opponents off their bikes by running into them from the back. doing so has 0 effect on you, making this game very silly. also, games really need to stop thinking they need some sort of open world "hub". driving around is less convenient and not any more immersive than navigating menus. In fact, i would say its LESS immersive.
