Shadows of Doubt has had a six-month early access period shows it growing by leaps and bound and its unorthodox focus and procedural story-generation engine make it stand out even among the high number of narrative-generation games coming out these days. An instant indie classic for fans of immersive sims, film noir, and weird dystopian adventures.
Rockstar Games probably won’t make L.A. Noire 2, so Shadows of Doubt on PS5 and Xbox will fulfill your rain-soaked detective dreams instead.
I like the noir genre in gaming, film, and books. I'd rather have a LA Noir 2 game from R* than a cheap advertisement in GTA, but, unfortunately, it won't happen.
Damn, that game looks cool. Very much looking forward to this, always kinda wanted to make a project like this myself but never really figured a way to do it. This seems like a clever way to go about it all.
"The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher Fireshine Games and Bristol-based (The UK) indie games developer ColePowered Games (Cole Jefferies), are today very happy and thrilled to announce that they have just released the "Cheats and Liars" update for their immersive sandbox detective sim “Shadows of Doubt“ (the said update is available right now PC via Steam Early Access)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
