CG writes: In this latest video, we test the newest addition to the VR game in development, VR HOT which allows you to interact with a male or female avatar in VR. The update now includes an experimental AI chat option where players can choose a personality type, customize some interests and biography, before chatting in VR. Unlike your usual AI chat, in VR with an actual model with whom you can interact with physically is quite incredible. We honestly believe with AI like this to be the future of VR companions.
CG writes: Take a look at the follow two videos from the VR game, entitled VR HOT. Forget the adult-themes for a moment and just ponder the direction and complexity of the AI chat software used in the game. It produces and emotionally charged AI character chat that may or may not end-up being somewhat off-putting for some players. Towards the end of one of the videos, the AI chat character becomes somewhat too needy when the player says he is ending the session. This kind of emotional tugging of the strings is quite interesting to experience. Question we’re wondering, is yes, it’s fine to have realistic conversations with AI, but is being more realistic favourable in the long run, when emotional response dictates the conversation path? Do players actually want that, or an escape from it.
CG writes: Developer VR HOT and their desktop/VR game with the same name just released an update 0.9.9 which among various things like improved clothing, additional customization options etc. now includes the much-requested green room. What’s that you ask? Well, with the green room enabled as a play-space, this means in conjunction with the Virtual Desktop app and Quest 3‘s colour passthrough, you can now have a pretty cool virtual-girlfriend type experience in your own room as you can see in the videos below. The character from the game appears as a model who resides in your home in full 3D.
I can't believe no one has commented on this. I figured people would have a field with this one. Lol.
