Haha for sure the dude, consensus is disappointment w no new AAA game shown. I for one am happy with Metal Gear but others are for mad it’s multi platform which is pathetic. Show could have announced something new but why steal Snake’s thunder.
Yea ok… if you’re into mostly indies and CG trailers that state “not actual gameplay,” sure I can see how it was nearly perfect.
Of everything shown only 4 games were interesting to me: Phantom Blade 0, Alan Wake 2, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Spider-Man 2. The rest of the stuff looked like what I’d see front-and-center in an Xbox showcase… man, Cat Quest, like why bother putting stuff like that in the show?
I hope Sony’s next showcase learns from this. Lord knows we don’t need 2 Xbox showcase level showings…
For me Dragon's Dogma 2 is underwhelming graphically, but still excited to play it. I'm happy with Granblue having an official release date. And Helldivers 2 and Phantom blade both look great.
By the way, why does Alan Wake 2 and Alone in the dark look and feel similar? Similar UE5 engine?
No, E3 2016 was nearly perfect. The showcase yesterday was about as far away from that as one could get. Both conferences came out at the same point in their respective console's life. First-party wise all we have to look forward to on the PS5 is the 3rd Spider-Man game in 6 years and a couple of CGI trailers for some GaaS that nobody wants.
E3 2015 was their best show. The Last Guardian, FFVII Remake. Shenmue 3, Horizon reveal, Arkham Knight gameplay, and the first Uncharted 4 setpiece reveal all in one show.
E3 2016 had God of War, Days Gone, Death Stranding, and Spider-Man reveals as well as showcasing Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, and PSVR. It also had the announcement of Resident Evil 7.
It just goes to show how different things used to be. Sony could put together 2 amazing conferences in 2015 and 2016 and now after waiting 2 years we got the disappointment that was yesterday.
That is just outlandish and quite frankly inane. Games are subjective I get that but it was far from perfect. It was as mud a showcase as I’ve ever seen. Facts are hard sometime.
Lmao, well that's like... your opinion man.
