It's interesting that they seem to be picking MGS3 for the remake, if rumors are to be believed. Maybe it's because of the response to the PachiSlot version ( https://www.metalgearinform... from a few years ago.
It was one of the best I think by fan reception of course. But my hope is that it will be a start of remakes going from chronological order. I'd love for that and to patch up some small things that make the story more fluid.
I do know what a remake is. Do you not realize how many remakes come out that are different and far worse than the original? Look at the trailer. They couldn't even get Snake's face right. It's already off to a bad start.
The remake is said to be multiplat as well. Another Rumor is that Ghost 2 won't be there. I suspected a least a teaser logo but no Ghost 2 won't be there at all.
I do think a sequel would be amazing... the big question is should Sony keep supporting Ps4? Or will this showcase be another nail in the coffin for last gen
I want a sequel really bad . I love Samurai games and all things Samurai. I collect Nihonto/swords other relics and there aren’t enough AAA Samurai games ever imo.

Also Skyrim is Elder Scrolls 5 the -5th game in the series.
Studios don't go through the nightmare of trying to come up with a hugely popular top grossing new IP just to make 1 game and go oh well thats that, we don't want all that potential hundreds of millions in revenue if we made more...
If a game doesn't get a sequel, it wasn't popular at all and was most likely a failure. People keep screaming for new IPs but then when they get them, don't want to support them as they evolve and grow from sequel to sequel. True insanity.
Skyrim has also been ported so many times its become one of the internet's biggest jokes! Nobody should be like Skyrim, good lord!
I would get Got2, don't get me wrong. But it's not needed. They showed they can make an outstanding new IP, they can make another. The people who supported Got will most likely support their new IP knowing how their games turn out.
I hope the Metal Gear rumors are true.

Why are people so focussed on GoT2?
I don’t want a sequel…. Not every game needs perpetual sequels.
Sometimes, we can be one and done for a generation, at least, like with Skyrim.
